Texas Death Records 1890 – 1976 Name index and images of statewide death certificates, 1890-1976. The name index has been created by FamilySearch and is tied to images of the Texas death certificates. Few certificates are available prior to 1903.
Texas Deaths and Burials, 1903-1973 Name index to death and burial records from the state of Texas. Microfilm copies of these records are available at the Family History Library and Family History Centers. This set contains 274,258 records. Due to privacy laws, recent records may not be displayed. The year range represents most of the records. A few records may be earlier or later.
Social Security Death Index (SSDI)
Database of death records from the Social Security Administration. Most persons who have died since 1962 whose death has been reported to the SSA are listed in the SSDI. For most years since 1973, the SSDI includes 93%-96% of deaths of individuals aged 65 or older. Data includes: Name, data of birth, month & year of death, social security number, state where SSN was issued and last place of residence. More information
